Weddings and Vow Renewals

Your wedding or vow renewal should be about you — your relationship, your story and the things that matter to you.

As an independent celebrant based in West Sussex, I create warm, personal and meaningful ceremonies for couples who want something a little different. Whether you’re planning an adventurous celebration in the South Downs, an intimate gathering with your closest people, or a day that brings together family, friends and different traditions, I’ll help you create a ceremony that feels completely yours.

A ceremony that reflects you

There are no rules about what your ceremony has to look like. You might want something relaxed and informal, full of laughter and personality. Perhaps you love tradition and want to include the elements that are important to you, but with your own twist. Or maybe you want to throw the rule book out altogether and create something completely unique.

Whatever your vision, I’ll work with you to shape a ceremony that feels natural and authentic. I’ll get to know you as a couple, hear your story and discover what makes your relationship special. Together, we can choose the words, music, readings, rituals and moments that will make your ceremony meaningful — and leave out anything that simply doesn’t feel like you.

Faith, spirituality and inclusivity

As a Christian, and I’m very happy to incorporate Christian faith into your ceremony to whatever extent feels right for you. That could include prayers, Bible readings, hymns, blessings, Christian symbolism or other traditions that hold meaning for you. I also believe deeply in being inclusive and respectful of different beliefs and backgrounds. If you follow another faith, have a mixture of beliefs, draw on spirituality, or don't consider yourself religious at all, you are very welcome. I love to explore ways of bringing together different faiths and spiritual traditions, creating a ceremony that honours everyone involved. And if you would prefer no religious or spiritual elements whatsoever, that's absolutely fine too.

Vow renewals

A vow renewal can be a beautiful way to pause and celebrate your journey together. Perhaps you’re marking a significant anniversary, coming through a challenging chapter, celebrating a new beginning, or simply want to stand together once again and say, “I’d choose you all over again.” Your vow renewal doesn’t have to recreate your wedding day. In fact, it can be something entirely different — a celebration of everything you’ve experienced, overcome and built together. We can look back at your story, include the people who have shared your journey, remember loved ones who are no longer with you, and create new promises for the years ahead.

Confidently delivered

A meaningful ceremony deserves to be delivered with warmth, confidence and genuine feeling. I’m an experienced and confident speaker, having created and delivered talks in a wide range of unique settings. I’m comfortable speaking to different audiences and adapting to different environments, whether your ceremony is an intimate gathering or a much larger celebration. My aim is for you to feel completely at ease, knowing that your ceremony is in safe hands.

And if you want to do something different…

I’m a lover of the outdoors and adventure, so I’m particularly excited by couples who want to step away from the expected.

A ceremony in a beautiful outdoor setting. A celebration somewhere that means something to you. A meaningful ritual you've created yourselves. A ceremony that brings together different cultures, beliefs and traditions. If it matters to you, it belongs in your ceremony.

There’s no need to fit yourselves into someone else’s idea of what a wedding or vow renewal should be.

Tell me your story. I’ll help you turn it into a ceremony that is personal, inclusive, memorable — and unmistakably yours.
